weather permitting...

when it isn't 100+ degrees (like today) we spend alot of time outside...when it is 105 (like last week) we make & eat sno-cones inside...it's how we roll....

regressing...

as the baby things are starting to come out, Gavin is reliving his younger days....i'm sure this is just the beginning!

Gavin is TWO YEARS OLD!!!

here is a glimpse of Gavin's second birthday...i don't have all the pictures yet, so there are more to come! A new bike, t-ball set, shark suitcase, remote control tractor, clothes, puzzles, water toys (a big THANK YOU for all his gifts) and a "CARS themed" day and Gavin was a happy boy!

coloring eggs...Gavin enjoyed it but all the eggs were broken by the end of it...next year it might make more sense :)

Easter egg hunt & making Easter cookies

We had an Easter egg hunt at church and Gavin wasn't sure what it was all about. He gathered a total of 3 eggs but enjoyed opening them and eating the goodies inside. We also made Easter cookies together and he was a big help until I let him taste the dough .. i was on my own after that!!!

BIG BOY BED

We finally made the switch from crib to bed and it was a huge success. Gavin loves his new bed and is really excited about it!! Last night was the first attempt at sleeping in his bed and only twice did we have to go in and tell him to get back in bed. Daddy found him the first time sitting in his chair with a book and a big grin. A little bit later, I too found him the same way but after about 30 minutes, he was in bed asleep. I thought naptime would prove more difficult because of the light, but he didn't even attempt sneaking out!! Granted there have only been two attempts, but we're feeling pretty good about it!! I can't believe he's big enough for a real bed!!
